Wrong side Kings:
This blog is a tribute to those, who are habitual offenders driving in the wrong side, never mind the casualties due the driver’s lack of civic sense of rather being arrogant to the word called “civic sense”
The chief kings of wrong sides are mainly commercial drivers. Even quite number of private drivers can be easily included in the list of wrong side kings.
It is evident that these people do not have any respect for the law. At least they should be more humane while driving on the wrong side. They don’t even care for people walking or driving in the proper direction.
Now a days, it has become very dangerous for people to walk because of kings of wrong side. They don’t have respect for the law is evident in there behaviour and road rage. But what is surprising is there is no fear for the law as well. If citizens do not have respect for the law, they must and should have fear for the law. Now the question is who has to instil the fear for the law in the citizens. Where is the law of the land gone? Old people and children alike find it very tough to cross the roads because of the uncivilized driving of the erratic drivers.
Also, other thing, which is of concern, is, people jumping the signals. Can’t people wait for 1 minute for the signal to turn green? What are they going to achieve in jumping the signal. They would be waiting in the traffic jam in the next signal. Again the culprits here are commercial drivers and of course reckless drivers. Not to mentioned two wheelers. Of course the bus drivers are always there. Driving such a huge vehicle they are the one who has to be careful while driving. They think they have got licences for erratic driving for riding a bus. People are literally scared of crossing the roads even when the signals are red, because they are afraid of uncivilized drivers who jump the signals and drive on the wrong side.
Amazing thing the brains of majority of the people works the same way – drive in the wrong side, jump signals, learn uncivilized driving etc. If we see any developed country like USA, or any parts of Europe, people are so civilized and have respect for the law.
But here, non educated and educated behave and cultivate the same uncivilized behaviour. I always think, why it can’t be the other way.
It really surprises me that, even an educated person has scant respect for the law or and least knowledge about traffic sense.
Another non-sense is people parking their vehicles erratically. Can’t they spare another minute more to park their vehicles in such a way that it should not hinder the traffic flow? Never mind, if their job is done, why worry of other’s problems.
And then there is cell phone problem. People will lose their senses talking while driving. Then again as soon as the cell rings while driving unaware the dangers, they suddenly stop their vehicle right in the middle of the road to attend the call.
The solutions for all these menace is making every citizen to follow the law of the land. As said, if there is no respect for the law, there should be fear for the law. But who is going to instil fear for the law.
Another solution is kids should be educated about traffic sense and civilised driving right from the school.
The above solutions are in no visibility to be implemented in our country/city. We have to learn to live amidst this chaos, uncivilized drivers and “Wrong side Kings”
